Embracing the Season

Rest, Reflection, and Dream Weaving

As the Wheel of the Year turns once more, we approach Yule—a sacred time to align with the cycles of nature and nurture our inner world. This season calls us to slow down, rest, and reflect on the abundance we’ve cultivated throughout the year.

In the rush of modern life, many of us feel the weight of this time of year. The long nights and colder days often bring an urge to retreat, to sleep more, to simply be. These instincts aren’t a sign of weakness—they’re wisdom. Our bodies and spirits are asking us to align with the rhythm of the earth. Yet, our culture often demands the opposite: constant productivity, endless celebration, and the pretense of an eternal summer. It’s no wonder this season can leave us drained or unwell.

But there’s another way. By honoring the wisdom of the seasons, we can find nourishment in the darkness. We can embrace rest, lean into the hearth of community, and listen to the messages that emerge when we allow ourselves to pause.

Yule, marked by the winter solstice, occurs under the sign of Sagittarius, symbolized by the arrow. This is a time to gather the lessons of the year, to sit with our dreams, and to plant seeds of light for the future. The arrow reminds us to focus our energy and intentions, aiming toward the direction of our deepest desires and aspirations.

On December 19th, Nicole Benisch and I will be hosting a Dream Weaving gathering. This will be a sacred space to honor the season in community, leaning into its gifts of rest and reflection. Together, we’ll explore the messages of our dreams and the wisdom of this dark and fertile time. Dreams, after all, are powerful tools for insight and transformation—far more profound than we often give them credit for.

In this gathering, we’ll celebrate our divine earthliness, letting go of the pressure to be “machines” endlessly churning through life. Instead, we’ll reconnect with the natural flow, using this time to rejuvenate, dream, and align ourselves with the cycles of the earth.

I hope you’ll join us in this beautiful practice of honoring what is rather than resisting it. Together, we’ll weave dreams into reality, creating space for nourishment, clarity, and renewal.

Dream Weaving: Seeds of Light | Zoom Conference Call

December 19, 2024 | $22 | 7pm-8:30pm EST

Welcome to a sacred celebration of Yule, also known as the Winter Solstice—a powerful turning point on the Wheel of the Year and a time to honor the return of the light. As the longest night of the year gives way to the promise of lengthening days, we are invited to reflect on the cycles of darkness and light, rest and renewal, and the gifts that emerge from this season of stillness.

Imagine yourself at this liminal moment, akin to the quiet pause just before dawn, when the world is hushed, and the first rays of sunlight begin to peek over the horizon. Yule is a time to celebrate the rebirth of the Sun and to set intentions for the seeds we wish to nurture as the light grows stronger in the coming months.

In this gathering, we will journey together through meditation and sound to honor this sacred turning of the seasons. Guided by Asa, you will embark on a journey meditation, exploring the depths of your being to reflect on what has come to fruition, what needs to rest, and what you are ready to cultivate in the new cycle.

Meanwhile, Nicole will weave a tapestry of sound, enveloping you in the ethereal vibrations of crystal alchemy singing bowls, melodic vocals, and koshi chimes. As you bask in this symphony of healing resonance, Asa will infuse the space with the restorative energy of Reiki, nurturing and supporting you on your journey of introspection and renewal.

Together, we will embrace the themes of Yule—restoration, rebirth, and the gradual awakening of hope—illuminating the path toward our next evolution. This is a time for deep inner work and quiet celebration, so come as you are, dressed in comfy attire fit for a journey of the soul. Bring with you a journal or notebook, as well as something to write with. Let us honor the magic of Yule and emerge ready to manifest our dreams as the light returns to the world.
